Privacy policy
GREENWICK 3 GARDEN SUPPLY LLC operates https://greenwickgardensupply.com. This policy describes personal information we collect, why we use it, the parties involved in providing our services and your privacy choices. Shopify hosts our online store and provides commerce services.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with the store, information may include:
- Contact and account information: name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, and account details if you create an account.
- Order information: items viewed, cart contents, purchases, order history, payment status, transaction references, shipment details, returns and refunds.
- Payment-related information: selected payment method and limited transaction or card details made available by the payment provider. Payment credentials are entered into checkout with Shopify or the selected provider, not sent to our support inbox.
- Support information: messages, order details, photographs and other information you choose to provide when seeking help.
- Device and interaction information: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, referring pages, timestamps, cookie identifiers, security logs and interactions with the store.
- Privacy choices and request information reasonably needed to process and verify a request.
We receive information directly from you, through store interactions and from Shopify, payment services, delivery providers and other providers involved in your order. You do not need to give us unrelated sensitive information to purchase garden pruning tools and care accessories. Do not email passwords, full payment-card details, security codes or government identification unless a specific, necessary verification process has been explained through an appropriate secure channel.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate checkout and accounts, process payments, fulfill and track orders, communicate about transactions, handle returns and refunds, respond to support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, understand basic store performance, keep business and tax records, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights. We use only information reasonably relevant to these purposes.
Optional analytics, advertising, marketing and review technologies depend on store configuration and applicable privacy choices. If used, their notices and consent controls apply. Transactional order, shipment and support messages may still be sent. Shopify, checkout and payment services process information needed for their services and may perform other platform functions according to their settings.
3. Sharing and service providers
We disclose relevant information to Shopify, payment providers, shipping and fulfillment services, technical and security providers and professional advisers where needed to provide the services or meet legal obligations. For example, a carrier needs delivery details and a payment provider needs transaction information. We may disclose information in response to a lawful request, to address fraud or security threats, to protect legal rights or as part of a genuine business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law. We do not publish support messages or order details as reviews without a separate lawful basis.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some platform services, data combinations or advertising-related processing can nevertheless be classified as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under certain state laws. The absence of our own advertising pixels does not by itself determine the legal classification of Shopify's processing. Where these definitions and rights apply, you may request the relevant opt-out as described below.
4. Shopify and payment services
Shopify processes information about visits and purchases to host the store, deliver checkout and commerce services, support payments and address security and fraud. Where Shopify's enhanced services, including Shopify Network Intelligence, are enabled or used, Shopify may also process information based on your interactions with other merchants and with Shopify to provide those services. Shopify and its service providers may process information outside your state or country.
Shopify's own processing and your choices are described at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers. Shopify's privacy portal is at https://privacy.shopify.com. Payment methods such as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna and Afterpay also operate under their own notices and terms. Providing a link does not mean we control every provider's processing.
5. Cookies and your choices
Cookies, local storage and similar technologies can support carts, checkout, authentication, saved preferences, fraud prevention and security. Optional analytics or advertising functions depend on actual settings and permissions. See our Cookie Policy for details. Where store privacy controls or a cookie banner are displayed, use them to manage available choices. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, but blocking essential functions may affect checkout or account access. Cookie settings and privacy-rights requests are separate from cancelling an order or deleting business records we must retain.
Where applicable law requires us to honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), we honor them for the relevant browser or device and associated processing to the extent required. You may also email us with the subject "Privacy Request" or "Do Not Sell or Share". We apply requests to our processing and coordinate with relevant providers as appropriate; provider-controlled services may also offer their own controls.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including completing orders, providing support, preventing fraud, resolving disputes and meeting accounting, tax and legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of information, your relationship with us and applicable obligations. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for every record. Backups and provider systems may follow separate retention cycles subject to applicable requirements.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to our operations. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure. Keep account credentials private and tell us if you suspect unauthorized activity. Access to information is limited according to the business purpose and provider arrangements.
7. Privacy rights
Depending on your residence and the law applicable to our business, you may have rights to request access or confirmation of processing, obtain a copy, correct information, request deletion, opt out of certain sale, sharing or targeted advertising, or limit certain uses of sensitive information. We do not use the store to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated profiling. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
To submit a request, email support@greenwickgardensupply.com or write to our address below. Explain your request and the contact information or order reference needed to locate your records. We may seek proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting information, but we do not require unnecessary sensitive details. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, with evidence of authority and verification as applicable. We respond within applicable legal deadlines; our ordinary support reply target of 3 business days is an acknowledgment/support target, not a promise that every privacy request will be completed within 3 days. If more time is legally permitted and needed, we explain the extension. If a right of appeal applies, reply to our decision requesting an appeal; we review and explain the outcome and any applicable complaint route.
For California residents where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, the information categories, purposes and recipient categories above describe the relevant collection and disclosures. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16. For other U.S. state residents, available rights and exceptions depend on the applicable state law and our covered-business status. This policy does not represent that every state privacy statute applies to every transaction.
8. Children, links and changes
The store is intended for adults purchasing garden pruning tools and care accessories and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information without an appropriate basis, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. A parent or guardian should handle purchases for a child.
External sites and independent services have their own privacy practices. We may revise this policy as operations or requirements change; material changes will be communicated where required. Changes do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
